Rare Egg is a pet egg. Incubating one takes 2,500 steps and gives a rare pet.

Obtaining
Dark Forest has a 25% base chance to give a Rare Egg. Volcanic Crater has a 32% base chance to give a Rare Egg. Celestial Tower has a 36% base chance to give a Rare Egg. Egg Luck and Drop Rate can raise these chances. The expedition pages explain each route's egg protection.
Hatching
Open Pets to view the egg. After 2,500 incubation steps, hatch it to receive a random rare pet from the egg's hatch pool. Shop-exclusive pets are outside this pool.
The Dragon Egg discovery is a crafting material. Rare Eggs appear in the pet egg collection.
