Frequently Asked Questions
When do pet bonuses apply?
Pet bonuses apply while that pet is active. Owning several pets does not combine all their bonuses. Every released species can roll all 12 current bonus types. See Pets and Pet Bonuses and Effects.
What do Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 mean?
Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 are the bonus's quality tiers. Higher tiers have higher value ranges. They are separate from the pet's level and evolution stage. The bonus tables show full-power values at level 30 before affinity bonuses.
Does +20% Drop Rate add 20 percentage points?
No. It is a relative increase: a 10% base chance becomes 12%. It does not become 30%. Equipment chests check higher tiers first, so their final received chances also depend on those earlier checks. See Drop Rate and other boosts.
Why can my daily steps differ from expedition progress?
Steps today covers the current local day. A new expedition starts from its starting step count, so steps already credited before the run do not carry into it. Solo speed bonuses can change progress per step; co-op contribution uses recorded walking steps. A health app or watch can also take time to finish syncing.
Sync on Home before starting, start the expedition before your walk, then pull down on Home when you return. See Steps and Syncing for permissions, delayed steps, and background updates.
For current shared-contribution parties, the usual share is 60% of the solo step requirement, rounded up. Every player must reach 80% of that share, rounded up, and the party must reach the full team goal. A player can contribute up to 120% of the usual share, rounded down.
For Forest Trail, the usual share is 300 steps, the minimum is 240, and the contribution limit is 360. Two players can finish with 360 + 240; 300 + 240 still leaves the team 60 steps short. Older equal-share sessions require the full usual share from everyone. See Co-op Expeditions for the rules and reward bonuses.
