Tap to examine
You unroll the heat resistant scroll. The Wanderer's words seem urgent here:
"Rock becomes glass. Earth becomes gemstone. Everything that fire touches becomes something new.
A villager has lived beside this crater for sixty years. I asked if she feared an eruption.
'The fire and I have an understanding,' she said.
When I emerge from this fire, I wonder what will remain of me. I am learning that the journey is about transformation. Every step burns away what I was and reveals what I am becoming.
The Wanderer"
You look back toward the glow of the crater.
